Anuppur Shriram Finance Loan Scam of ₹24 Lakh Exposed, 8 Accused Arrested



Superintendent of Police (SP) Moti Ur Rehman leads an unprecedented operation, arresting 8 accused from Shahdol in a ₹24.35 lakh fraud case.

Case Details

A major loan scam has been uncovered in the Anuppur branch of Shriram Finance Corporation Private Limited, where ₹24,35,000 was fraudulently obtained using fake documents. The complaint was filed by Rakesh Tiwari, Legal Department Manager of Shriram Finance Corporation, Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

The complaint revealed that branch manager Rahul Pathak, team leader Vineet Soni, and sales executives Ajay Kewat, Deepu Prasad Chandravanshi, and Yashwant Singh colluded to create fake salary slips, forged bank statements, and other documents for 15 fake customers, siphoning off ₹24.35 lakh.

Police Investigation and Action

Taking the matter seriously, SP Moti Ur Rehman assigned the investigation to SDOP Anuppur, Sumit Kerketta. Following confirmation of the allegations, a case was registered at Kotwali Police Station under IPC Sections 419, 420, 467, 468, 471, and 120 (B).

Swift and Unprecedented Action

Under the leadership of SP Moti Ur Rehman and Additional SP Israr Mansoori, Kotwali Police Station in-charge Arvind Jain formed a special task force. The team consisted of:

This team conducted a series of raids in Shahdol district, arresting eight individuals involved in the scam.

The arrested individuals and their details are as follows:

1. Upendra Singh Parihar (34), resident of Railway Colony, Dhanpuri.


2. Kailash Prasad Pandey (32), resident of Amlai.


3. Rahul Vishwakarma (35), resident of Railway Colony, Dhanpuri.


4. Peetambar Pal (37), resident of Dhanpuri.


5. Harsh Kushwaha (24), resident of Dhanpuri.


6. Sachin Bundela (36), resident of Amlai.


7. Santosh Kol (50), resident of Indira Nagar, Amlai.


8. Rajneesh Malik (38), resident of Dhanpuri.



Recovery and Further Investigation

Fake documents have been recovered from the accused, and further investigations are underway to trace and recover the embezzled amount.
